La source lumineuse est constituée d'un circuit LED double opposé enveloppé dans une extrusion de silicone blanc. La caractéristique de la lampe est précisément l'émission de lumière à 360°, sans ombres ni parties sombres sur toute sa longueur.

Le fonctionnement de l'applique nécessite l'utilisation d'une alimentation à commander séparément et à positionner à distance. Des alimentations à intensité variable sont également disponibles pour le contrôle PUSH, 1…10V ou DALI.
