The 10 Nodi Project: An Architecture of Sensations
When the 10 Nodi restaurant was asked to “bring the sea inside the restaurant,” the response wasn’t merely illustrative. It wasn’t a matter of incorporating literal or decorative elements, but of recreating the very essence of the
marine environment: its fluidity, the reflections of light on the water, and the depth of the horizon.
The real design challenge, therefore, was to translate an abstract emotion into concrete technical decisions. To do so, it was necessary to create a dialogue between artificial lighting and complex, textured surfaces, integrating the light fixtures into the architecture so seamlessly that they became invisible, leaving only their dramatic effect visible.

To meet the designer’s needs, Egoluce
has developed a custom solution based on the
millimeter-precise customization of fully recessed
linear lighting systems. By modifying the light distribution and applying
special asymmetric optics, the light has been literally
“brushed” onto the surfaces to bring to life the reflections and
ocean waves evoked by the design.
